Truly, some of the finest service we have experienced. Our glasses are refilled with never a wait period or want. Not distant, but not too pushy, they show up just at the right time. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and professional. The owner is a husband/wife team I believe. We were greeted very warmly and professionally. The sound level is low to medium with wonderful soothing and relaxing music playing throughout. Lighting inside is perfect as are table settings and service. A truly certified romantic restaurant, the atmosphere is pure taste. It is located in an old gasoline station (! - you'd never now it) that has been beautifully remodeled. The restaurant is in the downtown area of Sarasota, near the library. My fiance, mother and I had never eaten there before but now we will come back as often as possible. Bijou Cafe is a Sarasota treasure for great dining all around.
